Parson Produce is run by Daniel Parson, who has been growing produce without chemicals for 12 years. His last project was Gaia Gardens in Decatur, GA. In 2009, Daniel won the Georgia Organics Land Steward of the Year Award. After moving to Clinton, he started this project on land rented from The Farmhouse Bed and Breakfast. The cornerstone of our production system relies on cover cropping and crop rotations to provide fertility and pest control for our crops. The Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) program is the backbone of our marketing, creating a close connection between us and our customers. The production focus is variety—we grow at least a hundred different varieties over the course of the season. Many of these are unique heirloom types selected for flavor, texture, shape, and color.
