Order plenty of these useful plants for their many uses!
Few other plants are so potentially beneficial as immune-boosting infection fighters.
Echinacea (pronounced eh-kin-AY-sha) is the best-kept secret among native American healing herbs. It was the Plains Indians" primary medicine. And dduring the early 20th century, it was a rare medicine cabinet that didn't contain tincture of echinacea. By the 1930's, as antibiotics became available, it was largely forgotten...untill the herbal revival of the 1970's. Modern herbalists tout ecenacia as an immune system enhancer.
An easy-to-grow perennial, Purple coneflower is a wonderful addition to your summer cutting garden, with its unusual spikey centers and reblooming qualities. Sold here in gallon pots.
planted this fall, these organically grown plants will grace your garden next year with lovely pink-purple 3" blossoms.
A great butterfly attractor in bloom, the seedheads, if left on for the winter, will help feed goldfinches and serve also as a winter interest. Dead-heading or cutting blossoms increases bloom time.
